Using their own fingers, is the way that children first learn how to count. Using the Fingers Counting Board they can observe the similarity between their hands and the hands and fingers on the board. Each finger has a hinge so it can be flipped to count up and down which will help kinaesthetic learners. The colours and the labels help them to better visualise left and right and reinforces the link between numbers and quantity. Simple addition and subtraction can be carried out too.
